The total transformation of this 1960 ranch house in the Shadeland area of Lexington was accomplished with the addition of a master suite, which includes a new laundry room, and a three-car garage. All interior spaces were either relocated or re-defined. A new modern kitchen/ breakfast room area has been opened up into the great room. With keeping the concept of “aging in place” in mind, a space for a future elevator has been centrally located to allow easy access to the basement. The exterior was also given a facelift, by centering the door on the façade, adding a new front porch and a fresh coat of paint for the brick. The design / build team at Crawford Builders has turned this home into the perfect place to retreat for retirement.
