In Paris, Kentucky, a new farmhouse sits on an old farm features a project completed in three phases—a main house, a swimming pool, and a pool house and detached garage. The main house has approximately 3600 sq. feet plus an additional 1200 sq. feet of porches in a style that blends 1900’s farm house with the “low country” cottage style. The garage reflects the design and construction of other “barns” found on the 324 acre farm while the pool house continues the same style and features of the main house. Additional exterior features include rounded, galvanized gutters; Pennsylvania blue stone on the walkways, patio and porches; and robin’s egg blue paint accents the bead-board ceilings on the porches. The living room fireplace was designed with stone to match the exterior stone foundation. The custom kitchen opens up to the dining area and the great room. The cabinetry throughout is all custom made. Reclaimed wood beams accent the vaulted master bedroom ceiling.
